The problem.

Most senior leaders are expected to have a point of view on AI. Few have built the hands-on capability to back it up. That gap creates a specific kind of pressure: sitting in a board conversation, a strategy session, or a vendor pitch - and not being certain whether the logic holds or the risk is real.

The problem isn't awareness. It's the absence of a structured way to close the gap quickly, without clearing the diary.

Two formats

The entry point into the WAAVES relationship.

Format 1

AI Strategy Sprint

For leaders who need to move from questions to a clear strategic position on AI.

How it works

We work with you - and sometimes a small leadership team - over one to two focused days. The work involves mapping your AI landscape, stress-testing your current assumptions, and arriving at a position you can act on and defend. This is not a framework delivery. It ends with a decision, not a deck.

What you get

A clear strategic position on AI for your organisation. A prioritised set of next decisions. The confidence to hold a view in a room full of competing opinions.

Format 2

AI Skills Sprint

For leaders and teams who need to move from AI awareness to working fluency.

How it works

We run a structured session - typically half a day to a full day - built around the specific decisions and workflows that matter to your team. We work with real material, not generic examples. The tools are secondary. The shift in thinking is the point.

What you get

A team that has genuinely used AI in the context of their own work. A set of use cases ready to run the following week. A shared vocabulary for the conversations that follow.

How it works in detail.

+How it works

The AI Strategy Sprint runs across roughly three weeks. An organisation-wide survey captures how people actually work and where friction lives - so the session is grounded in reality, not leadership assumptions. A 2.5-hour working session maps opportunities across business domains and pressure-tests them through a prioritisation exercise. The post-session brief documents the top initiatives with owners and first steps, plus a draft AI strategy statement.

The AI Skills Sprint follows a structured session arc shaped by the individual leader's starting point - each session builds on the last, working through strategy, decisions, and the specific dilemmas that leader is actually facing.

AI Strategy Sprint: Nordic Creative Agency

A Nordic creative agency wanted to move from scattered experimentation to a coherent direction. We surveyed the full organisation (80% response rate), mapped 19 opportunities across business domains, and left the leadership team with three fully scoped priorities and an AI strategy statement they wrote themselves - not one handed to them.

What makes this different

Most AI training teaches tools. Most AI strategy work produces recommendations. Neither builds the thing leaders actually need: the ability to make judgments for themselves, in real time, without deferring to the consultant or the vendor.

We structure the conversation so leaders can think through the implications - not by providing answers, but by making the tensions visible and the trade-offs explicit.

Ready to close the gap?

Let's start with a 20-minute call. We talk about what you're facing, what you've already tried, and whether there's a fit. No pitch, no agenda.
